The Capital Area Camera Club was established in 1990 as a forum to share the love of photography and creative photographic techniques; to establish new friendships; and to give new local photographers in the Central Maine area the opportunity to share and exhibit their work. Club membership includes beginners, novices, amateurs, serious hobbyists and professional photographers. As of May 2009, we had approximately 75 members, with an average of 30-40 attending our semi-monthly meetings.
The CACC By-Laws can be found by clicking here.
Meetings are held at Viles Arboretum, 153 Hospital Street, Augusta, ME on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 6:30pm (social time), meeting 7pm-9pm from September through the end of May. CACC may schedule field trips and other events periodically during the summer months. Cancellations meetings, events, field-trips: members will be notified by email and a cancellation notice (weather winter storms) will posted on the CACC website - 6 hours before the event starts.
